Yesterday concluded the Iracing Spa 24 Hours for GT 3 cars at the famoush Spa-Francorchamps
circuit in Belgium. Agee Motorsports unloaded there 2 cars in preparations for the big event, and
had spent the previous week, practicing and fine tuning there cars for the grueling race.

Car #17 the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, with drivers Mark Agee, Nick Melillo, Nathan Lafayette,
David Hudson, and Rene Reid would start the race off in position 54, our of 58 cars. Mark
would start the car off, and after a slight bump into the rear of anothe competitor on lap
2, would make a 26 lap run, and would come into the pits in P28! After the pit stop for
service Nick Melillo would take over for his first stint, that got off to a bit of a rough start
as he got pegged for speeding exiting the pits and had to do a drive through penalty. This
would put the team back to P34, after serving the penalty. However the young speedster
would set sail after this and begin putting in some stellar laps, and would pull the car up to
P23, when he pitted! David would take over, and put in a solid stint, after a bit of a rough
start. Rene would hop in for a double stint, and he had pulled us up to P 21, when disaster
struck. He got hit by a net code incident, when another car got a little too close, and the
service thought he got hit, but there was no evidence of any contact, but the damage was
done, as we limped to the pits for 3 minutes, 20 seconds of repairs. This happened on lap
110, and dropped us back to P 30! Nathan would be up next for a double, and put in 2 flawless
stints as usual, and we were back climbing towards the top 20! Mark would jump back in after
Nathan for a double, and was working his way towards the top 25, when on lap 194, while
attempting to let a couple of faster cars by he hit a puddle of water on the inside of the track
that sent the BMW spinning across in front of a couple other competitors, and damaged the LR
suspension on the car. The crew made some hasty repairs after only 2 minutes, and 10 seconds
Nick was back on the attack again. He put in a couple of super stints, turning the cars fastest
laps of the race, and the climb was back on. It seemed however, that the team was snake bit every
time they tried to crack the top 20, and something would happen. There was a few more incidents
that hampered the teams efforts, that were not of there own doing. However they would persevere
and bring the car home with a P24 finish, which was an improvement of 30 positions from where
they started. Congratulations for staying in the fight and bringing the car home!!

The #27 Mustang would not have such a good event, they got damaged before the race even got started
Robert Cancian would get brake checked and damage the front end of the Mustang before the green
lights even came on, after losing 4 laps due to repairs, the team went back into the race. They would
fight with all they had but the car would suffer mechanical problems and the car was retired after
completing 16.5 Hours of the 24, and completing 410 laps! Tough luck for the crew of Robert Cancian,
Mark A. Wilson, Dave Hill, Todd Marimpietri, and Anthony Marimpietri.

Next the team will lick it’s wounds and start preparing for the 6 Hours of Road America in 2 weeks!!
