Today the Iracing Daytona 500 took place, and Mark Agee pulled his Ace Decals sponsored Ford Mustang
Cup series car out of the garage, and took part in this event. Mark would start the event in P30, and would
slowly but steadily move his way up through the standings, eventually working his way up into the top 10
by the midway point of the event. However, a slow pitstop under green coupled with a speeding penalty
would knock the Virginia driver off the lead lap, and put him 3 laps off the pace. He would spend the rest
of the event battling to try and make up the lost ground, but was unable to do so, and would finally finish
in 9th position still 3 laps off the pace. ” Car had great speed, we just messed up on a pit stop, and then the
driver had brain fade, and sped exiting the pits, thinking he was gonna gain some ground back.” Agee said.
“Just stupid on my part, we had a shot, as we were running with the front runners, but maybe next year.”

Daytona was not kind to Agee Motorsports this year, as the team suffered more than it’s fair share of problems
during speedweeks. However, they will continue to chase that elusive victory at the Beach!!!!
